Join us for the 2026 IndigenousWays Film Festival, a celebration of Indigenous storytelling grounded in community and rising in unity. Hosted at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. IAIA respectfully acknowledges it is located on the traditional Puebloan lands of the Tanoan and Keres speaking Peoples. This FREE festival centers Indigenous women and student filmmakers through film screenings, workshops, and artist conversations.
Honoring both deep traditions and shared futures, the festival features stories of resilience, healing, humor, and intergenerational wisdom that bring community together through the power of film.
All events are wheelchair accessible and include ASL interpretation.

alika mteuzi (Caddo, Cheyenne, & Arapaho)
Alika Mteuzi is an Afro Indigenous writer-director (Kadohadacho, Cheyenne and Arapaho) and MFA candidate at USC School of Cinematic Arts. Her films explore power, memory, and futurity. She is a Vision Maker Media Creative Shorts Fellow and Native Arts and Cultures Foundation LIFT recipient.

Award winning multiracial filmmaker, musician, songwriter, advocate, and media artist advancing representation and accessibility through storytelling that bridges Deaf and hearing worlds.

Cultural advocate, storyteller, and Deaf leader uplifting Indigenous knowledge through language, access, and community connection.
