Dana Tiger is an internationally celebrated, award-winning artist and a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, with Seminole and Cherokee heritage. Born into a family of creative brilliance, Dana faced a profound loss at just five years old when her father, the legendary artist Jerome Tiger, passed away. Seeking to connect with him, she immersed herself in his artwork, deepening her cultural and artistic roots under the mentorship of her uncle, renowned painter Johnny Tiger Jr.
Known for her striking watercolors and acrylic paintings, Dana’s art vividly honors the strength, resilience, and spirit of Native American women. Her work graces galleries, universities, Native American institutions, and state buildings nationwide, serving as a powerful celebration of Indigenous identity and storytelling.
Beyond her remarkable artistry, Dana is a passionate advocate for Native artists and communities. Her contributions have earned widespread recognition, including her induction into the Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame in 2001, cementing her legacy as both a cultural icon and a voice for Indigenous empowerment.
